Central Tucson

(University, Downtown)

Characteristic of Neighborhood

Central Tucson surrounds Downtown, the University of Arizona and several Historic Neighborhoods.
It was first developed in the late 19th Century with the intersection of Stone Avenue and Broadway as the City Center.

Homes in Central Tucson are admired for its proximity to Downtown, Hospitals and the University. It is located close to parks like Reid Park, which is the largest in midtown.
Local shops are concentrated along 4th Avenue and Main Gates Square. Central Tucson is also home of the Museum of Art and Centennial Hall. If you like the nightlife and trendy restaurants, then you’ll find it in Downtown.

The vast majority of Central Tucson Homes are older with the classic Tucson charm. But you will also find nicely renovated move-in-ready homes.
